Bitching Around The Bush

When I was in Form 1, I utterly detested a girl. Yeah- She is really pretty, but I had a problem with her prissy attitude. So naturally the foolish young me bitched about her. Typical-girl-style talked behind her back.

I really regret that. She isn't so bad after all, but the damage was already done.

When I was in Form 3, I was even more foolish.
At that time, some problems were pecking on my nerves and I couldn't resist typing out a complaint via sms. I meant to send it to a friend for advice, BUT silly old me SENT IT TO THE PERSON I WAS COMPLAINING ABOUT.

I had a group of friends who are wonderful conversation-strikers. It was always fun talking to them BUT the topic was always gossip. At first it felt juicy, but everytime after going home I f eel like washing my mouth with soap.
Foul, foul, foul!

What I'm trying to say here is...

It never pays bitching off.
Even if at that moment, you're itching so much with hatred that you could kill that person with a glare, IT DOES NOT pay complaining behind that person's back.

Because one day, when you are OKAY again with that person(which you never expected at first), or who knows- he/she becomes your friend, you're gonna carry that guilt around for quite some time.

Besides, What if your so-called friend repeated what you said to that person? Don't say that you don't care- you'd definitely feel embarrassed and uneasy. Undeniably!

Talking bad about people may make you feel powerful for a minute, but it gives other people an impression that you're whiny and helpless. They will also feel unsafe when talking to you, because if you can bitch about other people, you might bitch about him/her too!

So, guard that mouth, be a nice person.

It never pays bitching around the bush. It's a circle. You won't like being talked about too.
