Once Upon A Time...

Once upon a time, there lived a poor little rich girl in a city called Rich Penniless Town.

Nonono... That's not it.

Once upon a time, a huge yellow rubber duck swam freely in the atlantic ocean. Well, the old quack is dead now.

Ha~ha. I was just humouring you. Anyway, the real story is...

Once upon a time, there is a girl ACTUALLY doesn't know her whereabouts after venturing out of the Taman. And yeah, that girl is me. It's funny that I never noticed or even bothered to look out of the window whenevere I'm in the car. Seriously! Ever since I was 4, I never looked out of the car window unless there is soemthing fascinating like petshops or bookstores.

I do not sleep in the car. I always start reading whenever I hop inside, ever since I was a wee little kid. The amazing world inside the book is actually more appealling than the real one. Ha ha.

Okay, so i was saying... Truthfully, I have a great sense of direction, but I never put in any effort to recognize it... (lame right)
Now that I've finally earned a driver's license, the problem arises. My first thought was "how am i going to go anywhere?!"

After I finished my spm, Bri sent me home in his car. The conversation went ROUGHLY like this...

Bri: "So, you live in XXXX?"
Nic: "Yeah... I hope you know the directions there."
Bri: "What you don't know where you LIVE?"
Nic: "Um.. heh heh.. I never really paid attention-lah."
Bri: "$#%%^%@#$%^&^%@#!!!!"

Thank god we reached safely back. There's the other time when I was supposed to lead the way to a vegetarian shop we're going to. I had him turning up and down the road again and again. Weee!

And Today!
As usual, I lugged my new "Shopaholic and Baby" by Sophie Kinsella into the car and started reading. That is, before dad forced me to stop and look Anyway Other Than The Book.

"Now you see, over there. You go straight down, and there's CIMB Bank on your left." Dad tells me.
"Oh.. It's a Bank?" I asked dumbly.
Dad hrmphs in agreement.
Ignorantly, I hear myself mutter "The bank is small!" and my thoughts were screaming "Heck! How come got a bank here!? Since when was there a fleet of buildings here?"

I guess it's time for me to Wake Up and look at the real world hor?

The day i finished my driving exam trial, Uncle brought me back. I told him I don't know the directions. He was simply amused. "Girl ah, anyone can sell you easily!"

That's not gonna happen! Hmph!
At least I know the directions to my secondary school now. Chung Ling Butterworth. And I know the directions to my piano teacher's house, I think.

That's not bad, right?? RIGHT?
