This came out suddenly when i was chatting with Yen Ming. It's silly, but meaningful (i guesS) at the same time.

Little, pink Love is sitting on a mushroom shaped stool in a garden out of a fairytale. Obviously, Love is shaped like a heart and is a blissfully romantic puff of emotion. She is humming a song happily and flittering lightly above her seat with a big smile plastered across her rosy face.
“Roses are red! Violets are blue! I look pwetty and so do you!” Love giggled as she sang in a high pitched tinkle.
“Yeah, pwetty silly,” Said a scornful voice. Oops, that is none other than sarcastic and materialistic Money. Money is one cold, hard cash. He doesn’t care much about other’s feelings, and always assumes that as long as he exists, anyone will eagerly do things his way. Enough said.
Money sneers and bumps closer to Love. “Since you think you’re so nice and cute and pwetty, let’s see who is better.”
“Money versus Luurrvvee!” Money drawls.
Love widens her already-big eyes a metre wider and blinks with extreme innocence. “We compete, like a game?” Love gushes, immediately forgetting that Money was just being mean. “Oooh, puddings and pies, that sounds very nice!Yes!” With a flipping leap off the stool, Love bounces off with Money, determined to show him the power of love.
As they strolled along the sunbeam washed path, Money and Love were eagerly debating about who’s better than whom. Normally, Love isn’t one to argue and find facts and Money doesn’t waste time reasoning with others. The little debate was an exception. Perhaps, they bring the best (or the worst?) out of each other!
“Listen, runt. If you have love, but do not have money, everything goes wrong!” Money throws up his hands in exasperation. “If you don’t have money, you have nothing!”
Money grabs Love by his little wings and spins in rapid circles until the scene swirls into pools of mist. Out of nowhere, they land with a bump in a crowded, messy apartment. “Now watch!” barks Money.
There sat a girl in her early twenties with a baby in her arms. Her face, once pretty was now slightly wrinkled and written with defeat. A drunken man was lying sprawled across the floor with a Carlsberg bottle clutched in his palms,. He had a mop of messy hair and looked a total slob. A trail of tears slid down the girl’s face, as she whispered, “I though that… as long as we loved each other, it didn’t matter that we have no money. We could live on love! You promised me that you’d work hard to make our dreams come true.” She wiped her face angrily. “Mother was right, I was wrong! I should have gone with the rich man who proposed to me! I shouldn’t have ran away with you!”
Love and Money swirled back into reality. Money smiles triumphantly and crows, “See? I told you, love wouldn’t work without money! The guy probably slumps in defeat after failing to earn money. The girl expectantly thinks that as long as they are in love, everything is fine! She even gives him a child, for god’s sake!” He laughs and claps his hand on his stomach. “They’d probably end up unhappy and break up! That’s because they have no money!”
Love nibbles on his little fingers and screws up her forehead. “No no no! You are seeing it the wrong way! Now you follow me.” Love conjures up the next scene in an odd manner. She laughs and giggles and laughs until Money sees pink swirls around him.
The mansion was exquisitely beautiful. The windows had flowing silk curtains, the lawn was adorned with all kinds of flowers, and every corner of the house was filled with luxuries. The only image that dawned the whole scene, was an unhappy young lady. She wore a ravishing gown but a sad face. A man stood over her and touched her shoulders. She inches away. “I give you everything, my dear! The luxuries, the food, the credit cards! Why won’t you give your heart to me?” The man pleads to the lady.
“I told you! I liked you only because you are rich! I thought that I would fall in love with you, but I can’t! I simply can’t! Your money cannot be exchanged for my love, please set me free!”
Love tells Money seriously, “See? Money can’t buy love! It is not true that everything works out as long as people have money! They are rich, but they sure aren’t happy.”
“Pah! Whoever said that money cannot buy love simply didn’t know where to go shopping…” Money mutters.
Love clasps her hands together as Money folds his arms.
“Love is pure! It is the source of inspiration for success, for happiness. It is food for the soul, my friend!”
“Somehow I simply cannot agree! Haven’t you heard that money alone sets all the world in motion? If you don’t have money, say goodbye to success and happiness! Take my word, you pink banana: Love doesn’t work when one doesn’t have money.” That is Money’s typical point of view.
Now this is Love speaking. “Well, but love makes the world go round. Money is not the most important thing in the world, love is! When there is love, there is life!”
As we leave Love and Money squabbling over each other’s points of views, let’s have a little look at the whole point of this story.
We can see that love and money each play an essential role in our lives. As most people imagine, love probably is pink, bubbly and happy. Even though it doesn’t have its answers, it is sincere and still does make sense. Meanwhile, we see money as a form of power. It is domineering and powerful. But the actual qualities which lies beneath its metal-cold surface depends on how one uses it, and brings out its best.
Money isn’t the root of all evil, nor is love a delusional fantasy. From another point of view, if money is used for good causes and love is extended wisely, they can complement each other rather well. It is true that we can’t buy love with money, and that it is impossible for love to last without money. Oh well, that might as well be the reason for us to keep living and finding the answers in the core of our hearts.
