(Music) Precious Keys

This time it is different. Keys of a piano used to be a hammer for different notes. Now, to me it is...precious. Each and every lovely ringing tone of keys.. precious, precious keys. Someday I hope that I can sing each note with my heart through the keys ~ conveying its unique message effectively.

This time, the pieces I'll be working on are J.S. Bach's Prelude & Fugue in A flat, Beethoven's Sonata in G Opus 31, No.1, and Jazzy by Copland.

The pieces are not too hard, but too bad: because of my limited technical abilities, I have to spend a HUGE amount of time practicing and hammering away all day.
The prelude isn't all that bad, but ahhh the fugue! The fugue is fascinating!
It consists of four different voices, and it'll be one's ten fingers' job to bring each voice out without being muffled. My teacher tells me, "As long as you don't keep speeding up, keep constant pedalling and make the voices CLEAR, then maybe your fugue wouldn't be horrible." Sigh! Fugue me! ~.~

As for the Beethoven piece. (It sounds disastrous when I play it, I know)Teacher says it isn't right for me as it's HEAVY and i can't make the head, body, and tail sound like a whole instead of like three different pieces. BUT I'm not going to give up yet, though I was considering if I should change to Mozart instead of risk it all in an exam...Silly idea!

This piece I'm playing, the Beethoven one... I love the personality. Beethoven is a Taurean too, just like me. Stubborn, sensitive and temperamental. This song reflects it perfectly. The opening chordal part goes da-dam da-dam da-dam.. then TA-TAM TA-TAM TA-tAM! (I know that you don't know what I'm talking about)
And that it breaks into a whole gabble of running notes, chattering at top speed like an M16... then it returns back into its chordiness but in a minor mode.. and lapses into a sweet waltzy style. Then... it evolves into a heavy, bold, march like melody w hich is in the bass. HAks!! I could go on forever.. The problem for me is when the same melody is modulated, I go all confused.

Anyway, wish me luck! Haks!! If I don't "get it", I'm goin' insane!!!!
